Welcome to 10th Grade Language Arts
Hi! My name is Mr. Sherman and I’m excited about this school year because I am starting to use a new teaching strategy called the “flipped classroom.” You can learn more about this strategy by clicking on the “Flipped Strategy” link located on the left-hand panel. What is important for you to know right now is that this strategy will give us more time in the classroom to work on engaging activities that will help students to grasp the concepts that we are covering in the course at a much deeper level.
I graduated from UTEP with a Bachelor’s degree and earned my teaching certificate at the University of Texas at Arlington. I am certified to teach both secondary language arts and social studies. I also have a Master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. This will be my 10th year of teaching.
If you ever need to talk to me, my conference period is from 9:30 to 10:15 AM.
