It is both a privilege and a blessing to serve as the Hornedo Middle School Principal. I became Hornedo's third Principal in May 2015. Hornedo is my home away from home, and I am proud to be serving this school community. The
teachers and staff at Hornedo amaze me with their dedication to our
students and families. Hornedo is a wonderful place for children to spend their
middle school years, and I am happy to be a part of this important phase
of their lives. We have an amazingly talented student body with diverse
abilities and interests. They all make Hornedo the exceptional school
that it is. Go Tornados!
am currently in my nineteenth year at EPISD. I have worked as a teacher,
assistant principal, and principal, all with EPISD. I taught at Kohlberg Elementary and
was the Assistant Principal at Kohlberg and Crosby before moving to Polk
Elementary School where I was an administrator for ten years. I started
at Polk as the Assistant Principal in 2005 and became the Polk
Principal in June 2009.
I was born and raised in El Paso and attended EPISD schools: Park
Elementary, Charles Middle, and Andress High. I am a graduate of Texas
Tech University where I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary
Education, and I received my Master's Degree in Education Administration
from UTEP. My husband, Joe, and I have three beautiful children who
fill our lives with happiness and keep us busy!
